ABOUT WORK

Nino prefers to work with Kids and "real" people (not models). His commitment to his work and clients is dedicated to bringing the essence of the people to the surface of the image.

He has created a very unique style, spontaneous and natural looking pictures packed with narrative. Nino is a perfectionist and spends a great deal of time researching to find the right detail for a perfect production.

Nino works mostly in Spain for national and international clients. He gained the respect of many international Film crews for capturing the perfect moment, without interrupting the shoot , restrained and silently working.

CAREER

Nino Gehrig was Born in Ulm, Germany. After secondary school Nino worked with ceramics for several years before opting for Photography in 1992 as a way to get quick creative results.



After assisting still life photographers for several years in Frankfurt, Nino moved to Hamburg in 1996 to work in advertising and portrait photography. Here he met and worked with Kay Degenhard where he learnt to bring the essence of people to the surface of his images. 



From 1997- 1998 he worked on many reportage assignments for a Public relations agency and in 1999 continued with advertising jobs in Hamburg, but found that his interest did not lie in this area. 



Nino moved to Barcelona in 2000 to develop a more personal style, look for new subjects, and to attempt to articulate a more passionate message.
