ABOUT WORK

Based in London and specialising in animals, portraiture and still life photography, Alex's work is very stylised.

Enjoying the diversity and challenge of different subject matter, she brings her own unique vision and style to everything she shoots.

Alex has exhibited in London and the USA as well as producing photo books throughout her career and since her student days.

With a number of these published books under her belt, one can see that Alex's personal projects tend to have a narrative, and that Alex enjoys telling stories through the medium of books and image.

CAREER

Hailing from the Northwest of England, Alex studied Photography at The University of Derby.

Her lighting skills were perfected whilst training as a still life Photographer in Manchester, after which she moved to London to become Rankin's 1st Photo and Production Assistant.

After two years of assisting Rankin and producing high end celebrity and advertising shoots all over the world, Alex spread her wings and moved to the sunnier climes of Los Angeles where, after working for other renowned photographers including Jill Greenberg and Warwick Saint, she built up her own commercial portfolio.

Armed with passion, a good eye, great lighting techniques and strong production skills, Alex returned to London in 2008 to set up her own studio shooting commercial and editorial commissions. Quickly picking up advertising work, Alex is currently firmly establishing herself within the worlds of advertising and editorial photography.

Clients find Alex a pleasure to work with and often benefit from her hands-on approach to production.
