Jayne Dennis is in her final year of a two-year FDA degree in Commercial Photography. Her background is in design - she worked for over a decade as a Motion Graphic Designer and Art Director, designing, animating and producing title sequences for television programmes and commercials. Since turning her attention to photography, she has started to enter competitions and was a finalist in our Let's Face It: 6. "It really is such a buzz to be acknowledged for your work," she says. "I find it so encouraging, and I'm always fascinated to see other people’s interpretations of the same brief."
This third-place image was created out of Jayne's fascination with the relationship between man and nature. "I wanted to place the two together in a seemingly unconventional way," she says, "and stir an emotion within the viewer, which I’d like to think generates a different connotation for each individual."
When Jayne graduates in June, she will be actively looking for work and taking on commissions. She is particularly interested in editorial, fashion and travel photography on a commercial level. On a personal level, she has a deep love and appreciation for fine art photography, which she aims to actively pursue.
