Nudity by itself, though possibly graceful, or beautiful, or explicit as it may be, seldom poses questions even though the potential for a myriad of inquiries and interrogations exists. To simultaneously question, tell, and depict is what sets the photograph apart from other visual forms -- and the human body if rife with such agenda. Taking an ostensibly pleasing body shape and combining it with water and sky images to create a fictional narrative both mysterious and possibly sexually provocative is for me a far more interesting process than making a simple document.
